Elementary Tutor

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved to learn!

As a full-time mother, part-time childcare provider, and part-time teacher, I found it easy to encourage curiosity and natural to engage children in learning.

Over the years, I’ve developed keen sensitivity and the ability to tune-in to a child’s nuanced way of learning. I’m able to adapt my teaching approach to the individual’s learning style. Each child senses my genuine respect for them, and we become a team with common long-term and short-term goals. I make it clear that I’m coaching them in a safe space where all attempts are encouraged, appreciated, and appraised constructively. All successes are celebrated! I sense when she or he feels tired or frustrated, and we take a short, fun, constructive break. Often we stand up and do some sort of easy aerobic exercise to get the blood flowing to our brains. We might find something to make each other laugh to lighten the mood and bring oxygen to our heads too!

With years of experience and a contagious love of learning, I am here to help your child excel and move past their educational road-blocks, allowing them to build strong study habits and confidence, and to flourish in school and beyond!
